Terms of Service
Last updated: 17 July 2026 · BrixCanvas is operated by ProSysTech, Netherlands.
1. What BrixCanvas is
BrixCanvas is a website builder: you create an account, build one or more websites from templates and blocks ("Brix"), and we host them for you. Paid plans add capacity (more websites, your own domain names, more storage) and monthly AI credits.
2. Beta notice
BrixCanvas is young and improving every week — that's exactly why the Founding 100 programme exists. We work hard to keep everything stable and your data safe, but during this phase features may change, and occasional bugs are part of the deal. Found one? Use the 🐞 Feedback button — the best contributors earn lifetime Pro.
3. Your account
Keep your login to yourself and use a real e-mail address — we use it for security codes and important notices. You're responsible for what happens under your account. You must be at least 16, or have permission from a parent or guardian.
4. Your content
Everything you publish on your BrixCanvas sites stays yours. You give us permission to host, store and display it — that's technically required to serve your website. You promise your content doesn't break the law or anyone else's rights.
5. What's not allowed
No illegal content, scams, phishing, malware, hate, or content that sexualises minors. No spam sites or mass-generated junk. No using BrixCanvas as a general file locker — storage is for the media on your websites (that's why uploads are images only, with a per-plan storage limit). We may take sites offline and suspend accounts that break these rules; every published site carries a "Report" link.
6. Payments & plans
Paid plans are billed monthly through Stripe and you can cancel any time — your plan then runs until the end of the paid period. If a payment repeatedly fails, your account falls back to Free and sites over the Free limits are unpublished (nothing is deleted). Prices include VAT where applicable. Webshop payments on your own site go through your own Stripe account; that money never touches ours.
7. Founders & community (Founder Terms)
Founder status is a free benefit we grant at our sole discretion to recognise genuine contributions. By accepting Founder status you agree to these Founder Terms:
- What it is: the features and capacity of the Pro plan at no charge, for as long as BrixCanvas offers the programme. It is a courtesy benefit, not a purchased service, not a contract for life, and it has no cash value. It can't be exchanged for money, discounts or anything else.
- Personal: Founder status is tied to your account. It cannot be sold, rented out, transferred or shared. Using a Founder account to host other people's websites commercially counts as transfer.
- Revocation: we may revoke Founder status immediately and without compensation if the account is used for anything under “What's not allowed”, for any illegal activity, for abuse of the platform or community, if it was obtained dishonestly (fake reports, manipulation, multiple accounts), or in case of chargeback or payment fraud. Your account and content follow the normal terms — revocation simply returns you to the Free plan.
- Business changes: if BrixCanvas (or its operator) is sold, merged, transferred or restructured, the new owner decides whether and how the Founder programme continues. If BrixCanvas shuts down or the programme ends, Founder benefits end with it. In both cases we'll give reasonable notice where we can, and no compensation is owed.
- Changes to the benefit: what “Pro” includes may evolve like any plan (capacity, credits, features). Founder benefits track the then-current Pro plan; we may adjust the programme's contents with notice.
- XP & levels: XP, levels and the contributor leaderboard are a fun recognition system, not currency. They carry no monetary value, create no entitlement to Founder status or anything else, and we may recalculate or reset them to fix errors or abuse.
- Taxes: if any tax authority treats the benefit as income, that's between you and them.
- No employment: contributing, testing or reporting bugs doesn't create an employment, agency or partnership relationship, and (beyond the Founder benefit itself) no right to payment. Ideas and suggestions you submit may be used freely by us to improve the product, without obligation or attribution.
8. Availability & liability
We aim for BrixCanvas to be fast and always on, but we can't promise 100% uptime and we're not liable for indirect damage such as lost profit. Our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the three months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that can't legally be limited.
9. Ending things
You can delete your account at any time from Account settings — that permanently removes your sites and data. Free sites that see no login for 90 days may be cleaned up. We can end or suspend accounts that violate these terms.
10. Changes
We may update these terms as BrixCanvas evolves. For meaningful changes we'll notify you by e-mail or in the dashboard before they take effect. Dutch law applies; disputes go to the competent court in the Netherlands.
